They're simple, kid-approved, and easy to customize depending on what we have on hand.

Here are five we've been loving lately:

🧀 Cheese + fruit
🫐 Lemon Blueberry Energy Balls + fruit
🌮 Taco Hummus + veggies
🥒 Hidden Veggie Mini Muffins + fruit
🍪 No-Bake Cookies + fruit

Most of these pair a homemade snack with fresh fruit or vegetables. Once you've meal prepped one or two things for the week, snack time becomes much easier.

For me, that system starts with three simple things:

A plan →
You don't need to plan every day or meal perfectly, but having a rough plan makes it easier to know what to do next.

A routine →
A few repeatable habits, like washing produce after grocery shopping or doubling every recipe you make, reduce your daily decisions and free up time later.

A list you can trust →
Instead of searching for new recipes every week, keep a running list of family favourites you know everyone will eat. Then build your weekly plan from that list.

Knowing what to eat is only part of the equation. The real challenge is making healthy choices easy enough to repeat.

That's what simple healthy eating systems are all about. 🤎

A balanced base + protein + produce + a treat to look forward to. 😋

For this lunchbox, I started with kefir chia pudding as my balanced base, then added:

✓ Protein mini muffins

✓ Blueberries and celery

✓ Dark chocolate chip stuffed raspberries

Done!
