Pop the popcorn according to your air popper manufacturer's instructions, collecting it in a large bowl.
While the popcorn is still hot, drizzle with 2 tsp oil and sprinkle with ⅓ tsp salt. Toss well.
Repeat twice more with the remaining oil and salt, tossing after each addition.
Taste and add more salt if desired. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Ash's Tips
Season immediately. Popcorn starts to lose its fresh, crisp texture within a minute or two of popping, so drizzle on the oil and sprinkle the salt as soon as it's ready.
Season a little at a time. Drizzle on about one-third of the oil and sprinkle on one-third of the salt, then toss. Repeat twice more so every piece is evenly coated and perfectly seasoned.
